0.3.10 adds an opt-in Google Search grounding toggle for Gemini/Google chat requests. When enabled, the model receives live web results as grounding context, improving accuracy on current events and factual questions.
Google Search Grounding
A new Settings toggle Google Search Grounding appears when a Gemini model is active. Turning it on appends a googleSearch tool to the request payload so the model can search the web before replying. Grounding citations are surfaced inline as numbered references when the model uses them.
URL Prompt Suggestions
If your prompt contains URLs or looks like a question about recent facts, Keating now surfaces a subtle suggestion to enable Google Grounding. This only appears when the feature is available and off, nudging you toward more accurate answers without forcing the toggle.
